WHAT IS OUR OUR CARBON CUT COMMITMENT?
At Templant Rental Power, sustainability is more than a goal—it’s a responsibility. Our CarbonCut Commitment reflects our dedication to reducing CO2 emissions and promoting greener practices across all areas of our operations and those of our clients. This comprehensive initiative focuses on adopting cutting-edge technologies, investing in renewable energy, and implementing energy-efficient practices to lead the generator hire industry towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.

CLEANER, SMARTER POWER
Our investment in Stage V generators ensures compliance with the most stringent environmental standards. These generators deliver up to a 96% reduction in emissions compared to older Stage IIIA units. To put this into perspective, 40 Stage V generators produce the same emissions as just one Stage IIIA unit. With enhanced fuel efficiency and advanced filtration technology, Stage V generators are the ideal choice for sites aiming to reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining high performance.

BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS
REDUCE EMISSION AND FUEL USAGE
Through our collaboration with Pramac, we have integrated advanced battery energy storage systems into our operations, setting a new benchmark for sustainable power solutions. These systems work seamlessly with generators to reduce fuel consumption, emissions, and maintenance needs. For example, pairing a 60kVA generator with a 30/45 Pod battery system reduced weekly fuel consumption from 1056 to just 374 liters. This resulted in a 64.5% cost saving—over £1260 weekly—while significantly cutting CO2 emissions and noise pollution.

Powering a Sustainable Future
Templant is reducing emissions by integrating Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) into our generator fleet. As a renewable, fossil-free alternative to diesel, HVO cuts net CO₂ emissions while also lowering NOx and particulate matter. Its drop-in compatibility ensures a seamless transition without compromising performance, supporting our commitment to cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions.

Carbon Reduction Plan – In Development
We are currently developing a comprehensive Carbon Reduction Plan to further strengthen our commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable operations. This plan will formally set out our approach to measuring, managing, and reducing carbon emissions across our activities and supply chain. The Carbon Reduction Plan is scheduled to be completed and implemented by July 2026, and will align with relevant UK government guidance and best practice to support our long-term sustainability objectives.
