We’ve heavily invested in Stage V generators and battery energy storage systems, ensuring our customers receive the most efficient, sustainable, and compliant power solutions available. We provide a vast, high-quality inventory of cable and distribution, along with specialist loadbanking services to guarantee power systems perform at peak efficiency. 1989 – The Beginning

Templant was founded by Richard and Sandra Allen, a husband-and-wife team with a vision to provide reliable temporary power solutions. Their dedication laid the foundation for what would become a leading force in the industry.

1997 – Incorporation

As Templant grew in size and reputation, the company officially incorporated, transitioning into a Limited company to support its expanding operations.

2000 – Market Leadership

By the early 2000s, Templant had established itself as one of the UK’s largest suppliers of temporary distribution panels and cabling, setting new standards in the industry.

2006 – A New Era with Chris & Zoe Allen

Chris Allen joined Templant full-time after leaving school, alongside Zoe Allen, ushering in a new chapter of growth. Their leadership steered the company towards expansion, offering a complete generator rental package, including generators, cabling, distribution, and full power solutions.

2012 – Powering the London Olympics

Templant played a crucial role in the London 2012 Olympics, supplying temporary power solutions to support one of the world's largest sporting events.

2016 – Strategic Relocation

Continued success led to the move to a 5-acre depot in Chelmsford, Essex. This strategic relocation enhanced service capabilities, enabling faster response times and improved operational efficiency.

2018 – Investment in Mobility

Templant strengthened its logistics by upgrading its fleet, including the addition of a new Scania articulated lorry, ensuring greater flexibility and efficiency in delivering power solutions across the UK.

2019 – Scaling Up & Supporting Through COVID

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Templant diversified its services to support critical industries with emergency power solutions. The company significantly scaled its operations, growing its fleet to 300 generators (ranging from 20 kVA to 1250 kVA), 9 HGV lorries, 30 full-time staff, and 6 on-road service vans—ensuring a swift, reliable response in times of need.

2020 – Commitment to Sustainability

Templant took a significant step towards greener energy by investing in Stage V generators, setting a benchmark for reduced emissions and reinforcing its commitment to sustainable power solutions.

2023 – Strengthening Compliance & Quality

The company achieved ISO 45001 certification, affirming its commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence. Templant also became a certified member of Achilles, Avetta, and Constructionline, further solidifying its reputation as a trusted industry leader.

2025 & Beyond – Expanding Capabilities

Templant operates 500 generators (20–1250 kVA), including Stage V models up to 500 kVA, supported by 8 HGVs and 35 professionals. Committed to growth, we’re expanding our fleet with Stage V and battery storage, exploring hydrogen power, and transitioning to a multi-depot model for nationwide coverage.
