Following a recommendation from organisers at the Thames Festival, where Templant powered the catering stalls, Kerb Food contacted us to see if we were able to fulfil their power needs at SouthBank over the forthcoming five months. Naturally we were delighted to advise them on the necessary power requirements for their five food festivals and markets.
KERB Food brings the British Food Revolution outdoors with the most innovative and exciting street food traders on the block. Just in front of the Soutbank Centre for their launch event KERB introduced 26 traders providing the best street food London has to offer. Their aim was to provide an opportunity for the food fans of London to connect with the best food traders from London all in one place.
On 4th April Templant Engineers arrived onsite for the power installation. The cabling and distribution boards were connected into the mains power from the SouthBank Centre however, due to the large footfall during the three day event, running the cable outside the Centre over ground was deemed to be a potential trip hazard and consequently not a possibility. As a result of this Templant engineers cleverly installed box sections and upright poles of 2.5metre heights near each food & beverage stall to enable them to string the cable overhead and then drop them down to every catering facility.
Following the installation test procedures were carried out in line with 17th edition IEE wiring regulations to ensure the system set up was suitable for the food stalls and event requirements.
Customer Comment: “Working with Templant on our last project requiring a large outdoor electrical installation was streamlined.
Their can-do attitude was a breathe of fresh air and they responded to last minute changes with no fuss at all”.Download News Article
