July saw the return of the annual Lambeth country show held in Brockwell Park. Celebrating their 40th anniversary, the event has proven to be a huge success and constantly attracts thousands of people every year. The show has all the ingredients you’ll find at a typical country fair, but being located in the heart of London makes this event power truly unique and extremely accessible.
For the second year running, Templant were awarded the contract to supply the temporary power generators for the entirety of the event. Generators were supplied for the running of nine different zones, which consisted of 29 generator sets. The zones included music stages, exhibitions tents housing arts, dance and cultural activities, flower show tents and a farming zone.
For the main music stage, where power was paramount, Templant utilised their event specialist silent synchronised generators. This was to keep the noise disruption to a minimum and ensure a smooth continuous running in the power throughout the whole event.
Templant were contracted to supply the fuel management for the event. A Templant engineer was on-site throughout the event to monitor the fuel levels to ensure they were always at a safe and effective level to supply the running generators. When fuel levels did get low a towable fuel bowser was used to top up the generators.
Templant utilised their own transport and hiab assisted vehicles to deliver and place all the generators into the desired zones across the park. Precautions were made to ensure local residences were not disturbed both during delivery and collection.
This year’s Lambeth Country show was a huge success and was a true reflection of a great 40years in the running of the event.Download News Article
