Having previously worked with Cancer Research UK at various charitable runs across the country, Templant were contracted to supply the temporary power for the British 10k London Run. Templant were tasked with supplying a fleet of various sized generators along the route of the run. Each generator had to be delivered and positioned in the early hours of Sunday morning ahead of the crowds and competitors arriving. Templant’s generators were powering music stages, PA systems, promotional marquees, hospitality, first Aid treatment tents and timing clocks at various points along the 10k route.
Once all the generators were in position and connected, the Templant engineers remained on-site throughout to oversee in the running of the power requirements. Once the run had been completed all the generators were collected and loaded onto Templant’s lorries in time before the road closures were lifted.
The British 10k London run was a huge success with thousands being raised for charity and is regarded as The World’s Greatest Road Race Route.
